Record the lowest expected environment, the insulation or heat-tape provision permitted by the manual, the power source for any heat tape or pump, and how a failed pump or frozen line will be noticed.

Also consider where a pan or relief discharge could wet finished materials, electrical equipment, insulation, stairs or a ceiling below. Keep hot relief water away from people and electrical parts. ### What photos can and cannot prove

A photo can prove that a particular visible route, label or clearance existed at a recorded time and plan revision. It cannot prove hidden slope, airflow, electrical safety, code approval, warranty compliance or future service access after finishes change. One “no” does not always mean the whole project stops. It does mean the affected work cannot be represented as released. State precisely what may continue and what must remain open. Do not choose whichever source is more convenient.
